Mosaic Canyon - Death Valley
Mosaic Canyon - inner canyon
A road from Stovepipe Wells village climbs up an alluvial fan to
the mouth of the Mosaic Canyon on the Tucki mountains.
This road, like many other dirt roads in Death Valley, can be
slippery and drive slow. It is about 2.5 miles long.
A narrow and winding trail takes you into the canyon. In some
places you will have to use your hands to climb up. Ranger-led
walks are very popular at this place. I saw a crowd of about 75
people following a ranger.
